Mark Bainbridge

Mark BainbridgeI'm one of the “Older Folks” at New Life. I was saved in 1970 (age 13) in the midst of the “Jesus Days”, and I love to look back and see the faithfulness of God in my life, my marriage and in the lives of each of my children. I also eagerly look forward to see how God is going to use the upcoming generation to reach the world for Jesus Christ.

Brian Bibler

Penny BennettI'm a native Kansas Citian who moved to Dallas in 2006. Although I'm a card-carrying New Lifer, I'm a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX.

I accepted Jesus as my savior at age 9...but I submitted the last area of my life to Him in 2008. Now, I live and serve for/at the pleasure of the Lord.

Leigh-Ann Campbell

Leigh-Ann CampbellI grew up in a Christian home, but found myself having doubts about what I believed. When I left for college, I carried those doubts, and the Lord used them to "work out my salvation". He drew me to himself, and I accepted His leading in my life when I was 18. Since that, my life has never been the same!

Currently, I'm married and the mother of 2 gorgeous, little girls. My desire is to grow in His grace, and I've tried to surround myself with women who emulate His character- especially in areas I am weakest. Iron sharpening iron is very important to me, and I love the opportunity to love people by sharing what God has given me- a New Life.

Trent Campbell

Trent CampbellI grew up in a pastor's home and had the blessing of being raised around God's Word. Not until I was 16 did I fully swallow my pride and turn my life over to Christ. I have an educational background in Biblical Studies. My wife, Ruth, and I have lived in Kansas City since we were married in 2005 and are expecting our first child in May. I am a medical sales representative and love sports. My New Life experience has forced me to realize my failure to live out Christianity and encouraged me to take steps beyond my comfort zone.

Troy Campbell

Troy CampbellI am on a spiritual journey that began on November 27th of 1989. On this date, by God’s grace I began experiencing life the way it was meant to be. Since this date, I have been in a daily battle with myself to draw my strength and ambition from Jesus. I have been married to Leigh-Ann since August 7, 1999 (this is my online reminder so I don’t forge the date) and together we have two kiddos, Alexa age 6 and Sophia age 3. Three Scriptures that I love are Romans 1:16, Ephesians 6:12-18 and Ephesians 3:20-21.

Amy Gibler

Amy GiblerHaving not grown up in church, I found Christ early on in college. I desire to help create a community of Jesus followers that is real, creative, in tune with culture, desirious to see change, and passionate about the God it lives for. I love books, new music, art, food, health, traveling, coffee, and trying new things. I have a wonderful husband whose love and dedication to the Lord and commitment to teaching His Word pushes all that I am to be more in love with Christ.

Karen Harrison

Karen HarrisonI was born and raised in Ireland where a missionary led my Dad to Jesus. My Mam also accepted Christ right before I was born so I had the rare privilege of growing up with with two parents who knew and loved the Lord. I came to America for college and graduated with a degree in music. I met my husband at college and we were married in 2004, the day after graduation. We have a one year old son who keeps me busy during the day. I play the piano at New Life and love to worship the Lord through music!

until my life on
earth is ended.

Hebrews 10: 22-23, Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Travis Logan

Travis LoganGrowing up in a Christian home, I was taught about the Bible and God before I could even walk. I went to a Christian high school and then on to a Baptist Bible college for several semesters, all this time pursuing and attaining more and more knowledge about God, yet never allowing Him to change my life.

In January of 2008 God did a miraculous work in my heart. He stripped me of all the things I was clinging to for hope and satisfaction. With nothing left and at the end of myself, I turned back to those lessons that I had been taught as a young child and for the first time in my life I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. From that point my life changed drastically and by God's grace it is continuing to change.

Every day I fail Him, every day I fall and yet every day I cling to His grace and allow him to change my life and make it new.

PJ Petrillo

PJ PetrilloWho am I?  My name is P.J. Petrillo and I am an imperfect child of the King, striving daily to grow more like Him.

What do I do for a living? I am the Executive Director of Emergency Services for an organizatiion with 2,200 employees and 13,800 youth. I work emergencies, assist families and children in crisis due to conflict or wrong behaviors including issues from abuse, drugs, trauma, violence and weapons, etc.

How did I come to Christ? I went to hear a book author speak that I followed. It happened to be a Sunday. I had all of his books. The author asked those present if we would like to stay for a message he wanted to share. We did and it was the best decision my husband and I ever made. That author was Doug Wead, who later became the Religious Studies Advisor to the President of the United States.

Hobbies? Reading Books, Water Sports, and whatever God gives me opportunity to do for Him.

Bethany Thompson

Sonya ThompsonI am 15 years old and live in Lee's Summit Missouri, with both my parents and four siblings.

My goal in life is to ultimately honor and please God in all that I do.

Basketball, volleyball, track, high school, singing, tutoring and piano is how I spend my days.

I’m looking forward to blogging each week because I know I will learn a lot, and I hope that others will benefit as well.

Sonya Thompson

Sonya ThompsonIt’s not as physically demanding as it used to be, being the mother of five (ages 9 to 16) I mean, it used to be a never ending cycle of juggling bottles, diapers, toddlers, preschoolers and schoolwork. The only thing left from that era is schoolwork(and my husband). We have added a few things to the list--teenage driving, schoolwork with baffling questions (?), psychology discussions, theological discussions, boyfriend discussions…did I mention discussions?

As we have recently moved from sunny Florida to Missouri (in the dead of winter, I might add), my life is full of adjusting, balancing, and flat-out learning new things. Then again, isn’t that the very essence of New Life? Come with me on this incredible weekly journey. Each week we’ll exit this crazy highway to a rest stop. We’ll rest a little, think a little, talk…a lot! ? See ya there.

Sarah Totta

Sara TottaI'm happily married to Tony Totta and I enjoy spending my days being a mother to the most adorable little boy in the whole world, Anthony Nicholas. I grew up in Denver Colorado, my journey with the Lord began at the age of 8 when I accepted Him into my life. He directed me to Clearwater Christian College, where I met Tony. We have grown so much in almost 5 years of marraige. We are learning to keep our hands open. All we have is the Lord's anyway and it is his concern what he gives and takes away. We are learning to trust him. Our second baby recently went to be with the Lord at just 10 weeks, this has been a struggle but a huge time of growth for me. My desire is to know GOD and to be a channel that reflects His love. I hope that my journey can encourage you in yours.

I love my God, I love my husband, I love my child, I love life...
