The success of New Life Church depends on the blessing of God and the involvement of the church body in the ministry.  The central focus of our ministry should be the glory of God.  The result of anything that is accomplished through people in the church setting will point toward the exaltation of God.  In order for this to occur, members must carefully discern the motivation for their actions.  Our motivation for God’s glory will be protected by the following four principles:

If God leads you to be a part of New Life Church we need your help in the ministry. 

There is no action on the part of Christians that is more frequently stressed than that of prayer.  Conversely, there is no activity less regularly engaged in by Christians. 

The prayer team is commited to personal prayer and responsible for organizing and communicating prayer requests for the entire church.  They build and maintain a database of people locally and across the world that are willing to pray for specific needs of New Life Church and its members.

The main objective of the outreach team is to get people to the door of the church. The outreach team has developed a plan to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Great Opportunities at New Life to the people in Kansas City.  This is done through many different venues such as flyer blitz’s, relationship building projects, partnership opportunities, introductory Bible studies and outreach events.

The Hospitality Team begins work from the moment someone enters the doors of New Life Church for the first time.  Our aim is to offer an encouraging atmosphere that is welcoming to both the visitor and the church member.  We want to be available to answer questions, give directions and offer assistance whenever necessary. 

The Hospitality Team hosts the Foundations for Life class. This is an opportunity to become acquainted with the New Life Church body.

The objective of the discipleship team is to provide a formal opportunity for each person to grow in their spirituality.  This is done through mentor-matching, accountability, and involvement in 40 Day Discipleship Journeys.  Those interested in being a part of the discipleship team must be willing to commit to a lifestyle of personal growth and sacrificial ministry to another individual.

It is the foundational purpose of New Life Ministries to magnify the splendor of God through the utilization of music in the church.  The ministry of music provides various opportunities for the church body to be involved.  While no musician can create worship in the hearts of people, it is their responsibility to lead the assembled body to express its joy in God through praise and thanksgiving and to edify one another in love.

New Life provides fun and exciting opportunities to discover the Bible for all ages.  We provide nursery and toddler care during each service.  We also offer weekly Children's Church for kids through 6th grade.

New Life provides regular opportunities for teens to grow spiritually, socially, mentally and physically.  We provide times for discussion and Bible study and times to relax and hang out.  We want to partner with parents to communicate the truth of our great God in a way that is enjoyable and memorable.  We will be successful in the teen ministry when individuals desire to know God, to love God and to serve God.

New Life desires to use cutting edge technology to enhance the worship service and communication opportunities.  Technology is a tool that when used appropriately will tap into exponential ways to share Christ, meet needs and enhance atmosphere.

The S.W.A.T. team is responsible to have the facilities ready for each event.  Those involved with team will be active with one-time projects and also ongoing set-up and maintenance.  Whether you have well-refined skills or simply are able to lend a hand, we welcome your contribution to the team.

God has commanded us to be good stewards of the money that He entrusts to us.  We desire to have a financial track record that is wise in planning, above reproach in spending and exemplary in tracking.  The stewardship team is responsible to provide a budget, track income and expenses and make capital purchases.
